General Information
Canadians have begun travelling again. While this is good news, getting sick while travelling is a risk. Our Travel Vaccination Services are designed for you to help you and your travel group be protected from diseases and serious illnesses that are common in other parts of the world. Our signature service focusses on you, your medical history, your current immunity and your current health to create an immunization plan that will be personalized to your needs.
Travel to the Caribbean, Central & South America, Africa, and most of Asia poses risks of several of these infections.
Please make an appointment in the Albany Medical Clinic’s Travel Medicine Clinic to protect you and your loved ones prior to exotic travel to discuss the following infectious risks:
- Hepatitis A & B
- Yellow Fever
- Malaria prevention
- Typhoid fever
- Japanese encephalitis
- Traveller’s diarrhea prevention and standby treatment
- Rabies
Although some vaccines are effective at the last minute, others require multiple doses before becoming effective. Please book your consultation at least four (4) to five (5) weeks before travelling.
The Albany Travel Medicine Clinic, part of the Albany Medical Clinic operations, has been serving the East Toronto for over 75 years. We offer personalized comprehensive travel vaccinations and travel advice. We are a one-stop shop with all travel vaccinations on site where the combined cost of the consultation, injection(s) and vaccine(s), while not covered under OHIP, are competitively priced.
PS…In addition to travel vaccines, we provide a range of non-travel vaccines, including Shingrix, Prevnar 20, and the new RSV vaccine.
