General Information

The Albany Medical Clinic operates with a team of Nurses that support both our Family Doctors and our Specialists. From immunizations and allergy shots to dressing changes and suture removal to ear syringing and medical triaging, our Nursing Team provides essential nursing care to support our patients and our team.

Our Nursing team is centrally located on the 3rd floor of our Clinic. Our Nursing Team specifically performs the following functions:

  • Injections and immunizations
  • Flu Shots
  • Ear syringing
  • Wound care
  • Memory testing
  • Pap tests

We operate the Nursing Station on a booked appointment with limited walk-in slots. If you know that you need to see one of our Nurses when you see your Family Doctor, please book both appointments. Don’t worry if you are a few minutes late for the Nursing Station – you will still be seen.

If you are seeing your Family Doctor and the doctor wants you to see one of our Nurses that day, we do try to accommodate as many walk-in patients as possible but it could require a wait time. You can stop by the Nursing Station Reception and book your Nursing appointment for another day.

Preparing to Visit our Nursing Station

  • Please refrain from wearing scented products (due to patients and employees with allergies) and wear clothing that is easily removed if necessary.
  • Wear loose comfortable clothing.
