We are open 6 days a week every day of the year – however, hours vary by specialty.
Specialists’ clinic days at Albany are provided to Albany by the Specialist and can vary from month to month.
General Information
The Albany Medical Clinic supports the practice of our family doctors with access to specialists in various specialties at the same location as our family doctors. You do not have to have a family doctor at the Albany in order to be booked into the schedule of most of our Specialists.
In order to be seen by a specialist, patients must first present a referral form or letter issued by the patients’ referring physician. The referral must have been issued within the past 12 months. Minor Procedures Clinic
Our Surgery team offers access to office based minor surgical procedures including skin biopsies (punch, shave and excisional biopsies). Most minor surgical procedures are covered under OHIP with the exception of cosmetic removals. The cost of cosmetic removals is charged to patients directly. Approximate costs are in part dependent on the number of lesions, complexity and duration of the procedure in question, and will be quoted to you at the start of the appointment.

Minor Plastic Surgery Clinic
Our Plastic Surgery team offers access to office based minor plastics procedures performed under local anesthesia. Depending on the nature of the referral, the procedure may be covered by OHIP. However, in your initial consultation, if the procedure is not covered by OHIP, you will be advised of cost.
