RSV VACCINES
We have the RSV Vaccine (Arexvy) in stock. RSV is a virus that can cause serious respiratory illness including pneumonia especially in the young and elderly. Currently, we recommend that anyone over the age of 60 consider having the vaccine, but specifically if you are at high risk due to other health issues. Unfortunately, this vaccine is not covered by OHIP (unless you are in a long term care home). The cost is $300. If you have private insurance, most will cover the cost.
When you get this vaccine at our Nursing Station, your medical record is updated so we know you are protected! If you wish to get this vaccine, please call our Booking Center to schedule an appointment for the RSV Vaccine in the Nursing Station.
FLU SHOTS
If you are at high risk of flu-related complications, hospitalizations, or high risk for spreading infection (health care workers) please consider getting the flu shot. We are now providing flu shots where appropriate during an existing visit or you can call our Booking Center to schedule an appointment in our Nursing Station or you can visit your local pharmacy. If you do receive a flu shot somewhere other than our office, especially if you are 65 and older, we strongly encourage you to let us know so we can update your chart accordingly!
