 REMINDER The Albany Medical Clinic has operated a Walk-in Clinic for many years. Even before the term "Walk-in Clinic" was used. In those days it was called "Urgent Medical Care". We have always recognized that there is a need for medical services to be available to patients on an urgent basis. We have also filled the void created by a shortage of physicians and the inability of some patients to access their own physicians in a timely manner. We also recognize that convenience is an important factor in planning a visit to your doctor. On Saturdays, we have two doctors on site to assist you. For these reasons, our Walk-in Clinic is open 7 days a week, every day of the year, including Christmas and New Year's day. Please be aware that we are one of a declining number of clinics offering after-hours, on-call service. For that reason, we sometimes have a heavy backlog of patients. Be sure that you check in at least a half-hour before closing time and bring your provincial health card. Mostly Albany Medical Clinic physicians staff our Walk-in Clinic. We attempt to maintain the same standard of care for the walk-in patients as our regular patients are provided. We encourage you to follow up with your own family physician. If you don't have a family physician we will gladly assign one for you. | |||||||||||
