Chronic pain may be caused by many different diseases, conditions, and syndromes and can include pain from headaches, arthritis, musculo-skeletal disorders, shingles, fibromyalgia, degenerative spinal disorders, diabetic neuropathy and peripheral vascular disease.
Chronic pain is persistent disabling pain that fails to heal over a prolonged period of time, usually 3-6 months and does not respond to conventional treatment. This is when a person suffering from chronic pain may want to visit our Pain Clinic for evaluation and treatment.
Our Pain Clinic is staffed by Dr. Joseph Kim. During the initial consultation, an individualized treatment program is prepared and discussed in detail with each patient.
Treatments can include acupuncture, nerve block injections and specific drug therapy. Appropriate referrals can also be arranged for supplementary stress management and cognitive behavioural therapy.
By appointment only. A referral from your family physician or other treating physician is required.

For alternate pain management services provided at our clinic by ICC Healthnet Canada Inc., please visit our Rehabilitation & Wellness web page.
