H1N1 Flu Virus (Human Swine Influenza)
Our clinic is following all the protocols directed by Toronto Public Health and the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
Recognize that if you show any signs of a respiratory illness, that is: a new or worse cough or shortness of breath, a sore throat or sneezing and fever - then you'll be asked to don a mask and wear it for the duration of your visit in our building. This is to protect our staff and other patients. You will also be asked to wash your hands at one of our disinfecting stations located throughout the clinic.
If you exhibit a respiratory illness and have been to any area identified by Toronto Public Health or the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care as an area of risk, you may be separated from the regular waiting crowd and screened by our physicians. Our efforts are to treat you - our patient - to protect our staff and other patients and to provide surveillance information for public health.
Your co-operation, patience and calmness are appreciated.
